Sweden is a Nordic country in northern Europe. It is a Scandinavian nation with thousands of coastal islands and inland lakes, along with vast boreal forests and glaciated mountains. It is the largest country in northern Europe. The third largest country in the European Union and the fifth largest country in Europe. Sweden has reliably cold and snowy winters. It is the sixteenth richest country in the world in terms of GDP. Sweden has one of the most highly developed welfare states in the world.
The name Sweden was derived from Svear, or Suiones, a people mentioned as early as 98 by the Roman author Tactics. The country’s ancient name was Svithold. Stockholm has been the permanent capital since 1523. Swedish people are nice and helpful to foreigners although they are which makes the country a better option. It is also regarded as a home of Nobel prize and several highly acclaimed universities dating back to the 15th century. The country is known for her innate creativity and this was established then as a strong nation within design, fashion and music. These things attract international students. It is also one of the largest music exporting countries in the world.
Swedes are one of the greatest consumers of newspapers in the world, they like to relax at home. They don’t encourage keeping shoes at the entrance. They are very active and like to spend time with their family and friends, exaggerating and standing out or having things in excess is something they really dislike. They believe that spending time in a natural environment reduces stress, stimulates mental health and lowers blood pressure. Recycling and environmental consciousness is a very vital part of their culture.
Sweden has four fundamental laws which together make up the constitution. The instrument of Government, the Act of succession, the freedom of the pressact, and the fundamental law on freedom of expression. Child pornography, hate speech and libel are restricted in Sweden
